Simulation Model for Optimal Operation of Dokan Dam Reservoir Northern of Iraq

Due to the limitation of water renewable resources on one hand and increasing growth in consuming different parts such as agriculture, industry, urban, environment other hand, face management these valuable many challenges. Present study attempts clarify recent condition problem introduce effective tools supply sector. In order achieve this purpose, simulating model HEC-Res Sim was used for Dokan Dam operational behavior reservoir investigate capability representing real system. The based monthly discharge data period from 1986 2016 measured at inlet reservoir. results current were compared evaluated against those counterparts observed using two statistical metrics, correlation coefficient Nash- Sutcliff efficiency. Moreover, an empirical formula found linking amount inflow with outflow. showed that HEC-ResSim 3.0 performed well discharges. Therefore, could be better system analysis area.
